Frequently Asked Questions

What is involved in an Ayurvedic consultation?

Your Ayurvedic consultation will take an in-depth history of your past medical conditions, diet, lifestyle, family history. Your vital signs will be taken (blood pressure, pulse). A number of traditional physical examination techniques will also be used as appropriate such as tongue diagnosis. These will all help to develop a working diagnosis and help develop a treatment plan including dietary and lifestyle changes as well as herbal preparations.

Are Ayurvedic herbs safe to use?

We source our herbs from reputable suppliers.

While the herbs we use are 100% natural, we do advise that they are taken as advised by the practitioner.

How does red light therapy work?

Red and near-infrared lights emit a range of wavelengths that penetrate the skin to improve the function of our cells.

The light is absorbed by a component within our cells’ mitochondria allowing it to produce more energy (ATP). As a result, the cells function is optimised. Read this post for more detail.

How long is a red light treatment session?

The recommended time for a red light therapy session is 10 minutes for a given area of the body.

How many red light therapy sessions will I need to see results?

There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this as the time will depend on the condition the person would like relief from.

An acute ankle sprain, for example, might need more frequent sessions initially and see results sooner whereas chronic pain conditions may take longer.

Do you offer discounts for multiple sessions / block-bookings?

Yes we do! Please give us a call or email.
